It is normal to get nervous when presenting or giving a speech as long as you can control it. For many people, the nerves and anxiety are too much to handle, and the fear they cause becomes overwhelming. You may feel embarrassment, shame, or public humiliation. You may think that you are an imposter, that you are not up to the job, or that you will never be able to get over your fear of public speaking. Ultimately, this can erode a person's self-worth.

 

It doesn't have to be that way. If you're an introvert who doesn't like all those people looking at you or feel the pressure of getting a big presentation right, you can make the change by taking action. Learn how your reactions are just your mind and body responding to psychological and neurobiological processes. You can gain the knowledge to bring these processes back under your conscious control.

What You’ll Do

  • Break through your limiting belief that nerves are bad. Find out how to use the Possibility/Reality Loop to change your perspective and power your performance.                                                       

  • Uncover the hidden neurological processes that are going on inside your body that you are unaware of because they are happening at a subconscious level.
     

  • Identify the stressors that pull you down into a negative stress spiral. Formulate an action routine using a Stressor Impact Matrix that will create an inverse effect and move you to success.

  • Manage your Three Energy States, so they are aligned and acting in your best interests to get the desired outcome rather than working against you.  
     

  • Power up with tools, tips and techniques that can help you prepare for a talk or be used on-the-spot without anyone knowing what you are doing.
     

  • Learning is reinforced and imprinted by low-pressure activities and exercises that are fun, friendly and encouraging.
